I have more than 30 years' experience in hauling horses. When I first
started, in my 20's, I hauled my horse in the back of my pickup. Those were the days! In the early 80's, I bought my first
horse trailer, a 2-horse straight load, and mostly hauled my horses to shows. I trained and showed Quarter horses and Morgans.
In those years I attended clinic's with John Lyons, Richard Shrake,
and Monty Roberts, just to name a few.
In the 90s I shifted my focus from showing to trail riding. I camped
with my horses almost every weekend and took long trips, hauling my horses and sometime my friends horses from Ohio (where
I lived at the time) to Missouri, South Dakota, Kentucky, Illinois, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, Oklahoma, and finally moved
to California.
I crossed this country three times with horses setting up a round
pen every night, so my horses could get out of the trailer. Since 1999, when I first came to California, I have been
transporting horses professionally all over this state.
I have gotten my level one in the Pat Parelli home study system. I
have attended week-ends of natural horsemen clinics with Pat Parelli, Sandi Parker, Jerry Tindell, and Karen Parelli-Hagen.
Plus, I have obtained a certificate in Large Animal Rescue which is
a class put on by the Fire Department.
Horses have always been a part of my life, and I started showing as
a member of 4H at age 14. I use good natural horsemanship principles. I shall strive to make transporting your horse as smooth
as possible and treat your horse as if he were my own.
